-We developed and made the working-clothes with the EL-wire at Hangar with help of Alex Posada and David Cuartielles.
A radio transmitter, which sends the percentage of the value for the light to the two reseivers of the working-clothe devises. One or a third person has to control the EL-wire/working clothes with this sender devise.

-For the installation we developed ideas for a oval projection screen.
-In total we made 4 interventions: artist studio, media-agentur, cereia (candles manufactory), hairdresser

Hangar – centro de producción e investigación artística

Hangar es un centro de producción e investigación artística fundado en 1997 por la Asociación de Artistas Visuales de Cataluña (AAVC) para apoyar a creadores y artistas y ofrecer servicios que se adapten a las necesidades de producción propias en el mundo de la creación.
El centro tiene su sede en un edificio industrial rehabilitado en el barrio del Poblenou de Barcelona. El espacio de 1.800 m2, cuenta con 15 talleres individuales, un medialab, 2 platós, un servicio de alquiler de equipos, técnicos y asesoramiento de producción. Además, Hangar organiza un programa de talleres de formación para artistas, un programa de intercambios internacionales y ofrece becas de producción.
El espacio está subvencionado principalmente por la Generalitat de Catalunya y el Ayuntamiento de Barcelona. La gestión corre a cargo de la Fundación AAVC. Su modelo de gestión y su filosofía, enfocada a la producción y a la investigación, convierte a Hangar en un espacio único en Barcelona y España.

Ein vierköpfiges Rateteam muss anhand von Fragen, die nur mit Ja oder Nein zu beantworten sind, die Berufe von sieben, ab 1961 drei Gästen erraten. Der Gast hinterlässt zu Beginn seines Auftritts seine Unterschrift auf einer Tafel, muss ankreuzen, ob er selbstständig oder angestellt ist, und macht dann eine „typische Handbewegung“. Für die Fernsehzuschauer wird der Beruf eingeblendet. Will man mitraten, kann man bei einem Gongschlag von Lembke die Augen schließen und beim zweiten Gongschlag wieder öffnen, dann ist die Einblendung verschwunden. … Fernsehlexikon

“Ne travaillez jamais!”

In einem Schaufenster in Stuttgart steht zurzeit ein Parfum mit dem Namen
“Ne travaillez jamais”: “Arbeitet niemals!” Dieses Schaufenster gehoert aber
zu keinem Laden, sondern befindet sich im Kunstmuseum; es ist Teil einer
großen Ausstellung Josephine Mecksepers. Die Kuenstlerin, die sich selbst
als Kapitalismuskritikerin bezeichnet, verbindet in ihrer Arbeit immer wieder
Konsum- und Protestkultur: Sie setzt einer erotisierenden
Strumpfhosen-Verpackung zerborstene Spiegel entgegen oder bringt
Jeanswerbung mit Bannern gegen den Irakkrieg zusammen. Solche
Gegenueberstellungen sollen als Mahnung wirken; sie stoeren den schoenen
Schein des Konsums.

‘SUNDAY files’ Maia Gusberti, Nik Thönen

‘SUNDAY files’ is an experimental array having to do with work, space and time. The concrete subject matter: the 24/7 workplace surveillance via webcams that doesn’t take Sundays off. A confrontation with flexible working hours and permanent availability in the Age of Digital Communications. ‘SUNDAY files’ took shape through work done stricly on Sunday. They scrutinize Sunday as a day of rest – an idea that is increasingly being called into question – on the basis of its visibility in the electronic shere and in a globalized world of work.
